Obituary for Cheryl Price (Easley)
Cheryl Ann Price “Grammy”, 64, resident of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2022 surrounded by family.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022 in the Flora Bell Jefferson Gazebo at the Sand Road Park in Vernon with Brother Gary Chapman officiating.
Cheryl was born May 14, 1958, in Arcadia, California. She graduated in 1977 from Estelline High School. She married Albert Price on July 5, 1979. Together they raised their son, Clinton Bruce Price.
Cheryl and Albert lived at the Santa Rosa Waggoner Ranch where she worked for Helen Willingham for several years. Cheryl then continued on to work as a bus driver in Vernon for 18 years, where she gained more than just a 7 to 4 job. Not only did she drive our most precious cargo, but she took pride and care in driving them to extracurricular activities and special events throughout the years. She took pride in everything she did down to working in her yard. That is where she found peace. Her yard was her sanctuary. Anyone that knew Cheryl, knew that about her. Her yard was always perfect and beautiful. Her house was so spotless that you could white glove it or eat off the floor. Also, you can’t forget about her most prized possessions – her four-legged fur babies, who were always there to greet her with those big puppy dog kisses. Any bad day she may have had, you can bet her fur babies made it go away for at least a short while. The most important thing that needs to be remembered about Cheryl “Grammy” is that her heart and soul always belonged to her family first.
Cheryl was a devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, Grammy and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 42 years, Albert Price; her son, Clint Price and wife, Tina, of Electra; her son, Patrick McGee and wife, Abby, of Electra; grandson, Kaden Hooker of Vernon; granddaughter, Laci Lopez and husband, Marcus, of Electra; grandson, Tylor Bowden of Holliday; and two great grandchildren of Electra, Nolan Peters and Harper Lopez; two sisters and four brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
