Obituary for Celia Wickersham

Celia Anne Wickersham, age 71 of Memphis, TX, sadly passed away on March 17, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born in Commerce, TX, she was the daughter of James C. Wickersham and Christine (Oglesby) Wickersham. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1971 and went on to earn her Music Education Degree from East Texas State University. She later achieved her Master’s Degree from West Texas State University. Celia had a long and rewarding career as a music teacher for the Memphis Independent School District, retiring after forty years of service. She continued her love of the arts by teaching piano and flute. She was also a member of the Memphis Little Theater for many years. Celia’s legacy will live on in the children she so loved. “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened” (Dr. Seuss)

Sister: Patricia Lebow and husband Jackie (Wichita Falls, Tx)
Nephews: Daniel Lebow, Christopher Lebow, Preston Wickersham, Carson Wickersham
Great nieces: Emily Lebow, Annabelle Lebow, Lorraine Lebow, Claudia Lebow
Sister-in-law: Linda Wickersham
Very special Aunt and Uncle: Hoyle and Ann Julian and many more loving aunts, uncles, and cousins
