Carolyn Prescott, age 75, died Monday, February 03, 2014 in Childress. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, February 07, 2014 in First Baptist Church with Darrell Brown and Rev. Chad King, officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, February 06, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Carolyn was born Saturday, August 13, 1938 in Childress, TX to Van and Ila McCoy. Carolyn loved to cook and sew, and was a very talented musician. She sang in a gospel trio, and taught herself to play the piano. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Doris McCoy; and one brother, Ronald McCoy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Childress Regional Medical Center Hospice, PO Box 1030, Childress, TX 79201. Survivors include: Husband - R.L.
