Funeral services for Carol Arvella Mahan Scott, 77, are scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Christopher Tipa officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 in Childress.
She was born September 26, 1944 in Childress to Archie and Stella Mahan. She was very active in her church and enjoyed sharing her knowledge of genealogy. She loved gardening and was a dedicated caregiver and nurse for over 40 years. She loved her family and her church family very much.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Neal Scott; son, Michael Kuhns and her parents, Archie and Stella.
Survivors include son Dan Scott and wife, Kathi of Wichita Falls; daughter Barbra Lamer of Wichita Falls; son Eddy Scott and wife, Linda, of Wichita, Kansas; daughter Crystal Russell of Childress; son James Scott and wife, Kristen, of Little Elm; daughter Ruth Kinder of Childress; sister Peggy Norman of Childress; sister Margaret Bloodworth of Henrietta; brother Archie Mahan II of Colorado; brother Orville Mahan of Colorado; sister Lillie Campbell of Wichita Falls; brother Gary Mahan of Wichita Falls; grandchildren Tessa Pancake, Mark Bedford, Cameron Brasket, Meagan Shannon, Marissa Cardona, Samantha Scott, Tanner Russell, Kayla Russell, Bruce Scott, Jay Kinder, Devon Scott, Roman Scott, Mileah Kinder and Zoey Scott and 12 great grandchildren.
I lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Kirkland Cemetery Association, 104 County Road KC, Childress, Texas, 79201.
