Obituary for Carol Gaston
Funeral services for Carol Gaston, 58, are scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Terry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral home Friday, May 26, 2023 from 4-6 p.m.
She passed away May 17, 2023 in Fort Worth.
She was born November 18, 1964 to Dorothy Jackson in Quanah, Texas.
Carol was a passionate woman. Her door was always open to friends and children. Everyone knew she was a spitfire of energy dedicated to her ideals. She was intuitive to her children’s needs and humorously silly at other times. She was knowledgeable in an array of life’s conundrums, yet naively trusting. She was an animated woman, kind in spirit and giving. When she laughed hard, she would kick her feet falling back laughing. We have laughed together, cried together, struggled together and collaborated together. In all honesty, it feels like we have died together. We send kisses, hugs and our love through eternal soul ties.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Earl Jackson.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Gaston; her children, Canelius Jackson and Keshia Pennon; grandchildren Anaiyah Maxwell, Aiyanah Maxwell, Ainycah Maxwell and Aiynsleigh Maxwell; her mother, Dorothy Smith; and siblings Patricia and Victor Paris, Clyde and Rochelle Jackson and Charles Jackson.
