Obituary for Carl Savage

Funeral services for Carl Savage, 74, of Paducah will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Paducah with Freddie Stice and Glenn Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church of Paducah.
He passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Lubbock.
He was born October 17, 1945 in Woodland, Calif. to Otto Savage and Novis Thornhill Savage.
He accepted Jesus Christ in 1965 in Crowell, Texas. In his early adult years he was a cowboy before God called him to the ministry. He was married to Geraldine for 56 years and spent 53 as a pastor starting in Matador, Post, Skellytown, Sunray, Corsicana and then spent 30 years in Paducah. He was a carpenter and loved to fish, play guitar and sing, following the grandkids in their activities. He organized and helped build the church in Paducah. He enjoyed doing projects with his good friend Freddie Stice.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Savage; two daughters, Carey Adams and husband, Jeff and Amy Gross and husband Breck; five grandchildren, Dylan Adams, Madi Adams, Marcus Cruz, Seth Cruz and Lauren Cruz; a brother, Lewis Savage; sister-in-law LaDelle Greever and husband, Steven and numerous extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church of Paducah.
