Bobby Ray Lane, age 62, died Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Childress. Services will be at 11:15 AM Monday, September 01, 2014 in Childress Cemetery with Mr. Trey Morgan officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, September 01, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Bobby was born to Truman Lane and Evelyn Bearden Lane on July 27, 1952. Bobby was a kind and gentle soul with an impeccable memory for dates and history. He loved people and enjoyed making his daily rounds in Childress to socialize with his many friends. He was one of the Texas Rangers biggest fans. Bobby was an avid bingo player in Altus where he aquired the nickname "Bingo Bobby Ray". He was preceded in death by his parents.
