Billye Jean Hickman, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Childress Church of Christ with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home of Childress.
Billye was born Thursday, January 8th, 1931 in Beaumont, TX to Nathan and Florence (Bergin) Jetton. She and Leo married on September 2, 1949 in Beaumont, Texas. ??
Billye was a great wife and mother who raised four children. She was a Christian woman and a member of the Childress Church of Christ. She has lived in Childress, Texas since 1971, serving as City Secretary until 1994.
??Billye was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Hickman; her parents, Nathan and Florence Jetton; one son, Lee Hickman; and two sisters, Joyce Day and Bettye George.??
Survivors include: Two Daughters - Kay Hubbard and husband Norman, Moody, TX; and Jan Wrzesinski, Hurst, TX. Son - Jay Hickman and wife Rhonda, Childress, TX. Grandchildren- Jarrod Hubbard and wife, Holly; Derek Wrzesinski and wife, Agnieszka; Nicholas Wrzesinski; Jacob Bass; Benjamin Hickman; and Rachel Hickman. Great grandson – Matthew Lee Wrzesinski. Numerous extended family, friends, and Church family.
