Obituary for Billy Dill

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Billy Dill. Billy departed this world on November 2, 2023, leaving a legacy of love, warmth, and enduring memories. He was 72 years old.

Billy was born on September 5th, 1951, in Childress, TX, where he spent his early years and formed lasting connections with friends and family. He was the son of the late Horace and Wilma Dill. Born with Cerebral Palsy, it had its challenges, but Billy never let it set him back.

Billy was a dedicated husband to his wife, Yolanda Dill, for over 47 years. Their love story was a testament to the enduring power of love, and they shared a bond that inspired all who knew them. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys, building a life full of cherished moments and unwavering devotion.

As a father, Billy was a role model and a pillar of strength for his children Jeramie and Jarod. He imparted invaluable life lessons, offered guidance, and was always there to lend a helping hand. Memories of him coaching Little League games and rebuilding classic cars are cherished by his two sons. His children and grandchildren remember him as a loving and supportive father, a source of wisdom and inspiration, and a man whose love knew no bounds.

In his professional life, Billy was a machine mechanic at Royal Park and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation with 25 years of service. His work ethic and tenacity inspired all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Billy's warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many. He had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, and his friendship was a gift. He cherished his time with friends and with his family.

Billy Dill leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the incredible life he led, and we take solace in the knowledge that he is walking alongside Jesus today.
