Obituary for Barbara Galvan
Funeral services for Barbara Galvan, 95, will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Turkey with Melvin Clinton and Father Arturo officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Turkey.
She passed away May 25, 2023 in Childress.
She was born December 5, 1927 in Bishop, Texas to Isidro Castaneda and Senaida Duarte Castaneda.
She loved flowers, her garden, cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony S. Galvan; her siblings, Ignacio Castaneda, Seferino Castaneda and Maria Castaneda.
Survivors include her children, Tony Galvan Jr. and wife, Cuca Galvan, Gilberto Galvan and wife, Rita, Linda Mullin and husband, Rick, Irene Green and husband, Bill, Henry Galvan and wife, Isabel and Eddie Galvan; her sister, Rebecca Saldana; 18 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 36 great great grandchildren.
