Obituary for Alejandrina "Chata" Ibarra

Alejandrina “Chata” Ibarra, age 80, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 11 AM in the Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Marco Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 6 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Chata was born on March 8, 1937 in Derby, Texas to Refugio Arellano, Sr. and Petra (Guzman) Arellano. She was a very loving and caring person who had a heart of gold. She treated everyone that she met like family. She loved to take care of people, and if you went to her house she always asked if you were hungry, and would make you something to eat. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Joe and Jimmy Ibarra; brothers, Refugio Jr., Elivorio, Jesus and Eugenio; and a great-granddaughter, Jazzlee Wilson. Survivors include her husband, Frank Ibarra; her children, Jesus Ibarra and wife, Ninfa, Mary Galvan and husband, Blas, Linda Gonzales and husband, Juan, Randy Ibarra and wife, Cyndy, and Guadalupe (Pete) Ibarra and wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Elisa and significant other, Chase Wilson, Frankie, Erik, Vanessa, Gilbert Jr. and wife, Erica, Israel, Elizabeth, Christian, Ethan, Adam, Elizah, Ali, Samantha, Jayvon, and Ivan; great-grandchildren, Justin, Jaydan, Haven, Issac, and Emery; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
