Vera Hancock Mitchell went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the age of 84.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 16, 2012 with Mr. Trey Morgan officiating, Burial will be in Childress, Cemetery. Family visitation will be friday evening from 7:00PM to 8:00PM.

Vera Louise Hancock was born Wednesday, August 22, 1927 in Healdton, Oklahoma, to Weldon and Laura Hancock.

In March of 1944, Vera married Frank Mitchell of Olympus, Texas. The couple lived there until 1956, at which time they made their home in Childress.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Childress Church of Christ since 1956.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and husband, Frank O. Mitchell.
