U.S. Veteran

William S. "Sid" Richardson, age 87, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Wichita Falls. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 2, 2012 in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sara Hardway and Rev. George Price officiating. Burial will be in Tell Baptist Cemetery.

William Sidney Richardson was born May 11, 1925 in Woodrow, Texas to James Edward and Lorena Belle Savage Richardson. Sid was a veteran of the U S Army during WWII. He married former Mary Andrews December 20, 1948 in Groom, Texas. Just before the ceremony, Clessie Andrews, mother of the bride, knocked over the Christmas tree as she removed her coat.

From the Texas Department of Transportation he retired from his position as mechanic. He held membership with First United Methodist Church of Childress, Masonic Lodge #695 and O.E.S. Chapter 101.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Spencer Richardson "Punch", and L.G. Richardson "Doc" and two sisters, Ila Mae Richardson O'Daniel, and Juanita Pearl Richardson Frasier.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, American Heart Assoc. or Integra Care Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX.
